Medical Electronics Imaging to Aid Sufferers of Cerebral Spinal Fluid Leaks
Sunday, December 18, 2016
Steve Taranovich, senior technical editor at Electronic Design News (EDN) posted an article asking the electronic Industry for help in solving the problems that lead to Karen’s suicide.
“… Once doctors can locate a leak or leaks, then an Epidural Blood Patch technique can help seal it, but they need to find all those leaks first---a difficult task at present.”
Engineers: We are the solution
I need your help. We have a very diverse and highly technical readership on EDN and Planet Analog. I call upon you, our audience, to suggest out-of-the-box thinking and ideas that will lead to an imaging technology that can help these suffering people. I know that we have the talent out there, and I also know that there are so many other terrible diseases out there like cancer, etc. Bu in this case, I feel that a solution is just slightly beyond our grasp at present, or maybe even within our grasp with such technologies like nanotechnology imaging, that can possibly be adapted for clinical use to detect those tiny CSF leaks causing people and their loved ones to suffer so much. ...”
